Liestal, Switzerland, 23 May 2025: Curatis Holding AG (SIX: CURN) discloses corticorelin as the active substance of its lead pipeline project C-PTBE-01 for the treatment of peritumoral brain edema (PTBE). The market opportunity in PTBE is expected to exceed USD 1 billion annually.
Corticorelin is a synthetic version of the endogenous human corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF). It has been developed and clinically tested for over two decades. Existing clinical data support its potential in reducing peritumoral brain edema, a severe complication in patients with brain tumors.
Curatis also announces the strengthening of its development team with Dr. Kirsty Crame (Chief Medical Officer) and Dr. Timm Trenktrog (Head of Regulatory Affairs).
